Dear Parents and Students,
We welcome you and are thrilled to have you participate in SCA’s dance program. Your dancer will receive professional dance training to use their gifts and talents to glorify the Lord in excellence. Of the many gifts He has given, three of the most beautiful are the gifts of music, dance and drama. Romans 6:13 says, “Use your whole body as a tool to do what is right for the glory of God.” Prayer is a regular part of every class, as are, rehearsal and performance, which bind us together as ministering dancers. We are committed to our students and feel called to develop each student to the best of their potential.
Acceptance and participation into SCA’s dance program is an honor, privilege, and commitment. Dance students represent SCA and excellence unto the Lord wherever they may be: in the studio, at a church, in a theatre, or out in the community. While the purpose is to encourage the use of the arts in worship, we know that worship is more than what happens when we dance and perform for Him. Please see attached information into the dance program.
Performance opportunities include but not limited to, the annual year end performance at FSCJ, Christmas, school chapels, half-time football games and outreach opportunities. “Let them praise His name with dance.” Psalm 149:3
In His Service,
Denise Gizzard, Arts Director
